Environmental interactions

S2AQUAcoLAB offers solutions for understanding and predicting environmental parameters, essential information when selecting the most suitable location/area for implementing coastal and offshore aquatic farms. We also assess the impact of farms on the surrounding environment to ensure that production takes place in a responsible and sustainable manner.

List of services

  • Monitoring abiotic parameters such as temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, and a chlorophyll in aquatic environments;
  • Analysis of the abundance and diversity of microplankton in a marine setting;
  • Analysis of dissolved nutrients in water (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, total nitrogen, phosphates);
  • Analysis of carbon and nitrogen in sediment samples.
